Faye Prichard

Faye Prichard

Director of Writing, Assessment, and Evaluation

Faye Prichard joined The Honors College in the fall of 2012 as the Director of Writing, Assessment, and Evaluation. Ms. Prichard coordinates the curriculum for Honors 200 as well as teaching multiple sections of the course. She serves as the liaison between The Honors College and the English Department for oversight of the honors sections of English 295. In addition, she will be working with rhetoric students to promote their research as well as their writing.

Ms. Prichard has been teaching at VCU for 15 years, first as an adjunct and later as a full-time faculty member in the English department, where she taught both composition and literature courses. Between 2006 and 2009, Mrs. Prichard served as the Faculty Development Coordinator for Focused Inquiry. Since that time, she has served as the Director of Research Writing for the University College.

Ms. Prichard holds a bachelor’s degree in English as well as a master’s degree in Literature from VCU.

Before her entry into academia, she held certification and state licensure in respiratory care and worked in a number of Richmond hospitals and for several local home health care companies as well.
