Research Opportunities

Office of Research

The Office of Research at VCU offers opportunities for students across the university to participate in undergraduate research. Every year, the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program funds a limited number of undergraduate student fellowship awards for projects mentored by VCU faculty.

UROP provides students with the opportunity to work with a faculty mentor of their choosing to write and submit a research proposal for approval by the program. Students must submit a letter of support from the faculty mentor with the application.

Students may visit the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program website to learn more about the summer fellowship program and how to submit an application. The application deadline for the 2014 UROP Summer Fellowship is March 1, 2014.
