Meredith Sisson, Ph.D., joined the National Scholarship Office and the Honors College in 2016, having previously worked in the National Fellowships Program at the Johns Hopkins University. There she worked closely with applicants for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program and with the Johns Hopkins Hodson Scholars program.

Dr. Sisson researches monumental art in late-medieval Italy, focusing especially on the intersections between art and philosophy, theology, and science. She enjoys teaching courses on the art and architecture of the medieval world, as well as offering workshops on various aspects of the application process—for nationally competitive scholarships, graduate school, internships, and jobs.

Dr. Sisson earned her Ph.D. and M.A. in the history of art from the Johns Hopkins University, and her B.A. in art history from Dartmouth College.
