Dentistry
Virginia’s only School of Dentistry offers outstanding programs of preparation in the fields of dentistry (D.D.S.) and dental hygiene. Challenging educational and experiential programs prepare individuals to be efficient providers of quality oral healthcare, lifetime learners who are responsive to future changes in the profession, and practitioners focused on advancing knowledge in the field. Guaranteed Admission students who successfully meet all the requirements of the Guaranteed Admission Program for Dentistry may enter the VCU School of Dentistry for the D.D.S. without further competition.
The Guaranteed Admission Program for Dentistry is an eight-year program. Students wishing to complete their baccalaureate degrees in fewer than four years will not achieve earlier guaranteed admission into the VCU School of Dentistry. Students interested in applying to the Guaranteed Admission Program for Dentistry should review the application and admissions process details.
Only current high school seniors are eligible to apply. College transfer students are not eligible for the Honors College Guaranteed Admission Program for Dentistry. However, VCU Honors College pre-dental students may elect to follow the Preferred Applicant Track for Dentistry, which offers an opportunity to apply to the Guaranteed Admission Program for Dentistry at the end of your sophomore year.
