Defining: Community

The VCU Honors building as viewed from the north.Living in the Honors College residence hall opens the door to friendships, activities and involvement.

Honors housing is more than just a dorm room. It's a daily opportunity to be a part of a close-knit community within the larger VCU campus. Attend classes, activities and advising meetings that are just steps from your room.

Honors College housing provides:

  • Reserved space for first-year Honors students
  • Educational and social programs that build community
  • The Honors Lounge, including a computer lab, study rooms and music practice rooms
  • Honors faculty and staff offices on the first floor

Rooms in the Honors College residence hall are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Apply early, as housing is not guaranteed for all Honors students. Honors housing is optional and not required.

To apply for Honors College housing, select the Honors College as your first choice on the VCU Housing Application. Honors students may request roommates when completing the VCU Housing application.
