Honors Student Housing

The VCU Honors College allows incoming first-year students to join a dynamic academic community. Living in the Honors College residence hall opens the door to friendships, activities and involvement. This shared living environment fosters collaboration and helps build a strong community of scholars.

Honors housing is more than just a dorm room. It's a daily opportunity to be a part of a close-knit community within the larger VCU campus. Attend classes, activities and advising meetings that are just steps from your room.

Honors College housing provides:

  • Reserved space for first-year Honors students
  • Educational and social programs that build community
  • The Honors Lounge, including study rooms and music practice rooms
  • Honors faculty and staff offices on the first floor

The Honors College offers double bedrooms with in-unit bathrooms, and Honors students may request roommates. When completing the VCU housing application, incoming Honors students can list the Honors double room as their top choice. While Honors housing is not required, Honors students living on campus will be prioritized for Honors housing.
